District: 11 (Newark/Bear)
First elected in: 2012
What prompted you to run for state government?
I ran for Delaware Senate in part due to concern about long-standing state laws and policies that have not improved our school system, and in part because of a desire to ensure active outreach to constituents in our state senate district.
Current Interest Issues: My chief focus is on improving our education system, by supporting teachers, promoting school collaboration, increasing parental involvement, and ensuring a safe school culture. I am also focused on increasing job opportunities for Delawareans, and reforming our criminal justice system to achieve more cost efficient community safety.
